"Her animation has basically solidified the stylistic aim of the film that I couldn't quite nail down in the shots." - Rowan Lark, Director
"Dark tones and the tiniest bit creepy with a vintage feel."
Initially the client requested hand drawn illustrations to be animated, but with a tight deadline and limited budget, we agreed on a mix of collage and stock images of botanical illustrations.
Heather plays a big part in the film, as well as the symbolic rocks of the shooting location in The Bridestones, Todmorden, UK, so naturally these needed to be included in the images. Jane is almost taken over by the moor, which is shown by strands of heather creeping over her body as she lies by the rocks, which lead to the choice of a more jagged, broken movement of all the flora in the title sequence.

"Rosa was so easy to work with. She was enthusiastic about the project, communicated with me regularly, responded really well to feedback and made changes really fast. Her animation has basically solidified the stylistic aim of the film that I couldn't quite nail down in the shots. It's helped to create more of a world than just something that looks pretty. I'm so pleased with it and so grateful to have found such a talented woman to work with! I hope to work with Rosa again on upcoming film projects." - Rowan Lark, DirectorHave a project in mind?
